Proverbs 30:4 – The Riddle Revealed!
Presented by Qara HaShem Productions
Proverbs 30:4
Who has gone up to heaven and come down?
Who has cupped the wind in the palms of His hands?
Who has wrapped up the waters in His cloak?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
Yes, that is the question!
Here’s what the Scriptures say about His Name:
“Because he has known My Name, when he calls on Me, I answer him.” (Psalm 91:14–15)
“…call upon His Name; declare His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His Name is exalted.” (Isaiah 12:4)
“…they shall call on My Name, and I will hear them…” (Zechariah 13:9)
“I have revealed Your Name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world.” (John 17:6)
“I have made Your Name known to them, and shall make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me might be in them, and I in them.” (John 17:26)
“From the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My Name is great among the Gentiles…” (Malachi 1:11)
“…and My Name is feared among the Gentiles.” (Malachi 1:14)
“Pour out thy fury upon the Gentiles that know thee not…” (Jeremiah 10:25)
“…in order to declare My Name in all the earth.” (Exodus 9:16)
“Therefore My people shall know My Name in that day…” (Isaiah 52:6)
Why is His Name missing from most Bible translations?
From various prefaces:
NIV: YHWH rendered as “LORD” in capital letters.
Today’s English Version: “Following an ancient tradition… represented by LORD.”
KJV/Open Bible: “YHWH translated LORD or GOD… as it has been throughout history.”
Scriptures warn about the traditions of men (Matthew 15:3, Mark 7:13, Mark 7:9).
The Name Yahweh has been replaced at least 6,823 times in Scripture.
Scholars agree it was likely pronounced “Yahweh.”
RSV translators rejected it for “lacking devotional qualities” in English.
Five reasons replacing His Name is against Scripture:
Violates Exodus 20:7 – do not bring His Name to naught.
Violates Deuteronomy 4:2 – do not add or take away from the Word.
Jeremiah 23:36 – you have changed the words of the living Elohim.
Exodus 23:13 – do not mention the names of other mighty ones.
“Lord” comes from pagan deity titles (Ba’al).
Why not Jehovah?
The letter J did not exist until ~350 years ago; “hovah” means ruin, mischief, iniquity (Strong’s #1943–#1942). Yahweh could not be Jehovah, and Messiah could not be “Jesus” 2,000 years ago—His Hebrew name is Yahshua (“Yahweh Saves”).
Dead Sea Scrolls show Yahweh’s Name in Palaeo Hebrew even within modern Hebrew text.
Scripture affirmations of His Name:
(Genesis 26:25, Psalm 74:18, Exodus 3:14–15, Exodus 15:3, Psalm 116:4, Ezekiel 20:44, Isaiah 25:1, Isaiah 26:4, Psalm 8:1, Psalm 118:24, Psalm 14:1, Psalm 96:1–2, Joel 2:31–32, Acts 22:16, Revelation 14:12, 1 Kings 18:39, Revelation 1:10, Revelation 19:6, Psalm 100:5, John 8:32, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, Acts 17:30, Isaiah 55:6–8, Zechariah 14:9, Jeremiah 33:2–3).
Conclusion:
There is only one way to the Father, Yahweh—through His Son, Yahshua (“Yahweh Saves”).
“…everyone who calls on the Name of Yahweh shall be saved.”
