Ye Must Be Born from Above by Him!

3 Yahshua יהושע answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of Elohim (God)
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Yahshua יהושע answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of Elohim (God).
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born from above.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the voice thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. (Jn. 3:3–8)

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. (Jn. 10:2–4)

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. (Jn. 10:14–16)

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one — El יהוה Yahweh. Amen. (Jn. 10:26–31)

My Testimony

On August 22, 1994, I came home from a “graveyard” shift and went to bed as usual, around 8 o’clock in the morning. Suddenly, I heard something amazing. An unearthly voice called my first name in pure Russian, and He called me — “Sereja!”

I awoke and said to myself, Who is it? Who called me? I heard no one, so I fell asleep again.

A few minutes later, for the second time, I heard the same voice — “Sereja!” I awoke again, wondering, Who called me? But again, I saw no one and thought, It’s probably a dream.

I fell asleep once more, but then my body began to shake and tremble. I fell from my couch to the floor, my whole body trembling. I opened my eyes and beheld, in the corner of my ceiling, a bright, bright light—brighter than the sun in its glory.

As I looked upon this light, it illuminated my whole room. I had never seen such brightness in my life. I then saw the image of the Holy One of Israel, the Mighty One of Jacob, the Blessed One of Israel.

He came to me and said:

“My son, I have died on the cross because of your sins. Your mother begot you unto death, but I shall give you life, and you shall live forever!”

When I heard His voice and saw His countenance, I fell on my face and wept as never before. Tears fell from my eyes onto my T-shirt, and I cried only one plea:

“Oh, Lord Jesus, have mercy on me! Oh, Lord Jesus, have mercy on me!”

From 8 o’clock in the morning until 10 o’clock, I wept and confessed my sin, crying out for His mercy. When I arose from the floor, my T-shirt was completely wet from the tears of my heart.

All the heaviness, burdens of sin, and guilt—left me. I felt a joy I had never experienced in my life. It was as if wings had grown on my back. I felt like I was not even touching the earth.

I began to run inside my room, glorifying Yahweh of Hosts, magnifying His name. The joy was unspeakable—it was Heavenly repentance! I ran outside because the room was too small for my praise. On the grass of the yard, I gave thanks, glory, and praise to Yahweh.

That Sunday, I asked the preacher for an opportunity to bear witness to this Heavenly blessing. They permitted me, and I shared my testimony with joy and gladness, expecting my brothers and sisters to rejoice. But I saw no response.

Later that evening, one of my friends came and said, “What we heard today is ridiculous. You have offended our congregation! No one has ever seen God! My advice—do not come for a few weeks. People think you have lost your mind, maybe even a mental case. Please don’t tell anyone I came to you.”

I was deeply disappointed and distressed. That night I cried myself to sleep, and in the morning I was still in tears. While driving to work, I cried to Yahweh:

“Am I a fool, Yahweh? Was it all a dream? Why do these people not accept Your testimony? Why do they mock me? Help me, Yahweh!”

Then His glorious presence filled my car again, and He said to me:

“Behold, you have opened your heart very wide, and the Wicked One has shot his arrow into your heart, piercing and bleeding it. But the time shall come, and I shall heal you!”

I learned my first and best lesson:

  • Do not trust men.

  • Do not listen to men.

  • Trust El יהוה Yahweh.

  • Listen to El יהוה Yahweh.

For He is my Father.
For He is my Redeemer.
For He is my Savior.
For He is my Master.

Amen!

11 And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Rev. 12:11)
